Geoffrey Winters, a proud Wiradjuri man, made history as the youngest appointee to the Australian Institute of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies (AIATSIS) council at just 26 years old.

Geoffrey Winters, a proud Wiragjuri man, made history as the youngest appointee to the Australian Institute of aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies (AIATSIS) council at just 26 years old.

Holding a combined Bachelor of Arts (Honours)/Law from the University of Sydney, his professional journey led him to serve as a director and lawyer at Chalk & Behrendt, Lawyer and Consultants.

Recognising the pivotal role of AIATSIS in reconciliation efforts, he passionately advocates for Indigenous heritage awareness, believing in its power to shape a more inclusive future.
